How do I wash my mattress protector?
Washing your Hygge Sheets® is simple. Just place in the washing machine at a maximum temperature of 40°C on a normal cycle.
We recommend avoiding fabric conditioner or bleach, as these may degrade the waterproof layer. However, standard washing detergents are safe to use. Your Hygge Sheets® can be washed up to 300 times while remaining waterproof.
How do I dry my mattress protector?
Drying is quick and can be done in several ways. For fast drying, tumble dry on low heat. Alternatively, you can hang it on a washing line, a clothes dryer, or a radiator.
How do I remove stains?
If you get a stain on your Hygge Sheets®, we recommend using a cleaner like Vanish as you would do with other stains on clothing. You can then follow this with a normal wash. Don’t use bleach.
Will the mattress protector cover the whole bed?
Unlike conventional mattress protectors, Hygge Sheets® are not designed to cover the entire bed.
Instead, they are made for easy changes while still providing protection for the mattress and sheets from nighttime accidents.
How do I fit the mattress protector onto my bed?
Lay the sheet on top of the normal fitted sheet and tuck the flaps around either side of the mattress. Your can sleep on top of the Hygge Sheets® allowing for easier changes in the night.
What size mattress protector should I buy?
Our single mattress protector fits single sized beds. If you have a double, king or super king bed we have the perfect solution for you.
Can I use my Hygge Sheet with an electric blanket?
Many customers ask about using an electric blanket with Hygge Sheets.
While electric blankets are not specifically covered in our product testing or safety guidelines, some customers have used them without issues.
If you choose to use an electric blanket, we recommend the following precautions:
- Use the electric blanket on a low heat setting only
- Ensure the blanket is in good condition and used in line with the manufacturer’s instructions
- Turn the electric blanket off before sleeping, if recommended by the blanket manufacturer
If you have any concerns, we suggest checking directly with the electric blanket manufacturer or avoiding use altogether.
Will Hyge Sheets Fit the Depth of my Bed?
Hygge Sheets have built-in wings (tucks) that wrap around and slightly under the mattress to keep the protector securely in place.
The waterproof pad sits on top, while the wings prevent slipping or bunching and still make removal quick and easy.
All Single & Double Hygge Sheets* have 18” (45cm) wing length which is more than enough to fit the depth of most mattresses.
The below have slightly longer tuck lengths to ensure a good fit for even deeper mattresses.

Which Way Up does my Bamboo Hygge Sheet go?
The shiny, silky side with diamond stitching is the bamboo layer of the Hygge Sheet. This is the side you will sleep on so place it facing up on the bed. The care label will be on the underside.

I bought this for my mum who has dementia, 2 night she removed her nappy and the bed was completely wet.
It seems very good quality but maybe it's just for small accident. After washing it 3 times the smell of pee was slightly still there.

Good quality and protects the bed well.
I am so glad that I decided to purchase one of these Hygge sheets. I have a suprapubic catheter, and therefor I often get leaks from the tube or the catheter bag. These leak usually go through to the mattress but the Hygge sheet saved the day when I had an accident involving my catheter.I’d highly recommend them for anyone who has a urinary catheter or a urostomy, or for anyone of any age who struggles with incontinence as it really is a life saver! :)

We’ve just started trying to potty train my child during the night and these sheets are great for that! We got the single size and they fit great with wings to tuck under the mattress. Super absorbent and don’t leak, so we only have to remove the sheet and throw in the washing machine, rather than changing the whole bed in the middle of the night. So easy to clean and dry ready for the next night. They are so soft too which makes them comfortable to sleep on.
I ordered one of the organic, bamboo waterproof sheets to try. As it arrived a couple of days before we went on holiday I decided to wait to use it there. I was really impressed with how easy the sheet was to fit and how comfortable it felt, my son decided part way through the week it was actually more comfortable than his pillow on his face!We did have one night where it got a little damp and I’m pleased to say it kept the mattress nice and dry! Just knowing it was there and the bed would be protected was a great reassurance for me. I was really impressed that even with my son being hot, sweaty and fidgety in the Spanish heat, the sheet didn’t move at all!I’m looking forward to putting the sheet to the test now we get back home!
Lovely quality product. I have two stomas. This was a great product to use. Feel cool and comfortable to use. I would use when staying away from home incase if a leak. It stayed in place with the flaps. You could use both flats on single bed or order a double for a double bed. I used on one side of my superking bed would buy again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to other ostomates.
I bought this to protect my mattress from urostpmy bag leaks when sleeping. As it is bamboo, it doesn't cause me to sweat. It is super discreet as it doesnt rustle unlike others I have tried. It is super absorbant and minimises the smell of urine. It is also super easy to wash and dry. Will be great for travelling too as just folds up and fits in my bag. I recently got this for my son as he isn’t night-dry. On its first night of use he commented how soft and comfortable it was. It’s also very absorbent but really simple to wash. And amazingly it air dries the same day so it’s ready to use again that night. I highly recommend.
I have used this for acouple of nights and to sleep on is has been beautiful, its quilted nicely and the material feels nice and cool on the skin. I am using is just incase my waters go and will definitely be using this postpartum too . I move alot in my sleep so it stay ability has definitely been put to the test, it's only needed minor adjustments ( mainly because my bed seet is the thing that is moving not the pad .( I did a full cup of water test and it was bone dry on the other side , just as expected as my children have these too )All in all I thoroughly recommend !

I have just bought my second Hygge bed sheet. They are very comfortable to lay on and don't make you hot like some others do. The tuck in wings means that they don't move. They can easily be washed in the machine. They do take a while to dry in the dryer, but with the hot weather we have been having they dry outside in to time. I'm very happy with them.

Bought 2 double Bamboo mattress protectors and they have been fantastic. Washed them at 40 as instructed but left them to dry outdoors to save using the tumble dryer. Really comfy to sleep on and so quiet! A couple of nights later I had an ‘accident’ due to a seizure and thankfully it was so easy taking it off the bed and getting it into the washing machine. A worthwhile buy!

We bought some protective sheets recently to protect the mattress from accidental spills, and have found the Hygge sheets very effective. Blood and faeces have been removed successfully with laindry stain remover and the washing machine, coming up like new. The sheets are comfortable to lay on and have saved the mattress. Recommended.
